Frank Merle Films


Frank Merle is an award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter who served as artistic director of Chicago's critically-acclaimed Keyhole Theatre Company and directed over 30 professional stage productions before turning his attention to film in 2006. Since then, he has written four feature-length screenplays and has written and directed several short films. His work has been screened at numerous film festivals, including the Illinois International Film Festival, the Chicago International Reel Shorts Festival, the East Lansing Film Festival, the Geneva Film Festival, the Terror Film Festival, and the Fright Night Film Festival. He has written for the serial dramedy Convenant Coffee and has served as a script reader and analyst for the Bluecat Screenplay Competition. His feature screenplay Graves Farm was honored among the top five percent of scripts submitted for the 2007 American Screenplay Competition and the 2008 Shriekfest Screenplay Competition. He is currently living in Los Angeles and has several film projects in development.
