After I finally finished grad school in 2002, I also finished this issue of Foliage.
As you can see, I'd grown dissatisfied with the whole cross-hatching thing and evolved to
greytone rendering done on the computer, which (when printed right) would reproduce cleanly.
It would be another year though before I would get around to self-publishing it and
trading it around at the Atlanta ComicCon. Since then, I've also sold it here in Chicago
at Quimby's. Maybe someday, after I retire Dumbstruck, I'll draw some more of this story... |
