Zombies Contest 2004
Rules & Prizes

This goulish month, Grab Bag is holding a Halloween contest! There's no pain. It's simple. All you have to do is draw a zombie and email the picture to me. It can be a traditional George Romero zombie, it can be a sickeningly Geof Darrow zombie, it can even be a Matt Groening cartoony zombie. It can be a robot zombie, a werewolf zombie- hell, it can even be a fine 16th century Flemish scenic painting with a horde of marauding zombies ravaging the countryside. As long as your picture contains at least one zombie of any kind, it's elligible. It can be a pencil drawing, a fine ink drawing, it can be computer colored or oil painted or whatever. But it must contain an image of a reanimated corpse!

All entries must be received by October 20th October 24th, although I am open to flattery to extend this deadline. Starting around the 20th, I'll begin posting the entries here on the site. Then, probably on October 30th (depending on the number of entries received, the date might change), I will hold a public poll right here to determine the winner.

"But what do I win?" you pathetically whimper. Well, how about these comics?

Yes, the winner will receive these three fantastically classic horror comics.
  • The first is Issue 163 of DC's Unexpected from 1975- this comic is older than I am!
  • The second is a horror comic from the island of Saipan called Nightmare, a fantastic item for the international horror buff!
  • And thirdly, the first issue of Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror, judge the quality however you dare!
If the idea of drawing zombies and reading dreadful horror rags sends a chill up your spin, then email your images to me at zombies@grabbagcomics.com. Do it soon, or you might never....

And your winning Zombie is...
It's a tie!
